5 ImgOps alternatives with better results
You probably like ImgOps for its simple and practical design, access to other platforms, and because it’s free.
However, sometimes you need precise results, and it just lets you down. I tested, researched, and made a list of 6 similar tools that you can replace ImgOps with.
But first:
What does ImgOps offer?
ImgOps is a hub that connects you to image reverse search tools like Tineye, Yandex, Bing, and Google, all of which are free and easy to use. Just upload an image or paste the URL and choose a search engine.
Another interesting thing was its ability to identify media; you just have to upload a picture of something (e.g., anime), and it’ll show you the exact episode. It has a Reddit feature as well, which sadly didn’t work for me.
Since it has multiple tools in one place, it saves time. There’s no need to register, you can scan images instantly.
Besides image reverse searching, it also allows you to rotate, edit, adjust, zoom, and convert the picture’s format. If available, it can provide additional info about the picture.
Here’s the thing: since it doesn’t do the scanning itself, it cannot guarantee accuracy. Let’s see how other alternatives compare…
1. ProFaceFinder – Best for finding people
ProFaceFinder can find similar pictures with faces to the one you’ve uploaded, even if they’re in different poses or somehow altered.
After uploading a photo, it started to scan social media, websites, and dating sites for known scammers, criminals or simply sources where the same image or person appeared. It took 2 minutes, and I got 55 results.

Since it’s built to focus on faces, you’ll likely spot the person you’re looking for.
But here’s the cool part: by analyzing the background, it can detect where the photo was taken—yes, the location. Also, unlike many other tools, the ProFaceFinder tool can actually recognize AI involvement.
You can pay $5 for 2 thorough scans, or $10 for 7. Additionally, if your photos are being misused somewhere, it can help track down where.
So basically, the only thing ProFaceFinder can’t find for you are your keys—you’ll have to find them yourself.
2. SmallSEOTools – Most similar to ImgOps
This platform isn’t much different from ImgOps, but it did produce more results. It redirects you to image reverse search tools like Reversely.ai, Google, Bing, and Yandex, without scanning the photos themselves.
When I searched for similar photos on Reversely.ai, I got 20 results in total—8 were spot-on, while the other 12 not really. I could view the sources for free. You can also search for duplicates or people.

I didn’t get any results under the duplicates search. When I tried the People feature, I received 4 highly accurate matches I could access after paying. I scanned the same image with other tools, and these are the results:
- Google → only 1 result, accurate, and free to access.
- Bing → 0 results.
- Yandex → 50 results, with 7-8 being accurate, and all free.
SmallSEOTools offers both free and paid plans. Here are the offers:
- Free plan: unlimited searches and no account needed. However, expect limited access to some tools, ads, and no customer service.
- Plan 1: $4.89 per month, 300 searches.
- Plan 2: $14.89 per month, 1,000 searches.
- Plan 3: $29.89 for 3 months, 1,200 searches.
- Plan 4: $49.89 for 3 months, 4,000 searches.
The paid subscriptions are Ad-free. You also get access to advanced features, like in-depth scanning, data, sources, and customer support.
3. CopySeeker – Great for identical image matches
CopySeeker is a free reverse image search tool that focuses heavily on details. It provides only high-quality sources. Depending on the picture, it either gives you results of the exact picture you’re scanning, or none.
In my case, I got 3 results in just a few seconds. All of them were of the same picture, with only the sources changed.
The best part? I could view the sources without paying.

They also offered 12 visually similar results based on aesthetics. I got a couple of ads, but honestly, I can’t complain.
4. Lenso.ai – More in-depth results
Lenso.ai gave me 25 results in less than a minute—besides one, all of them accurate. Since it focused mostly on the face, it even extracted info about heavily edited photos.
Once I switched to the People tab, I got more than 5 pages filled with results. All were spot-on. Meanwhile, the Duplicates tab offered 4 different sources.
Whereas the Related tab provided 4 pictures of the person I searched for, and many photos of different people who look somewhat similar to them.

It works smoothly even on the phone, making it super convenient to use. However, while the results are visible, you’ll need to pay to access the sources behind them.
- $15.10/month – unlimited image scanning, 50 sources.
- $70.50/month – unlimited image scanning, 500 sources.
- $2,800.00/month – unlimited image scanning, 5000 sources + API access.
- Yearly: $161.00, $703.00, and $28,115.42.
Note: I converted the prices to dollars, but the original currency is Euro. Be sure to check the current exchange rate, as it can change.
Also, Lenso.ai works best with somewhat famous faces. If the photo is of a random person, chances are you won’t get many results, since the platform’s database isn’t very large yet.
5. FaceCheckID – Very reliable results
FaceCheck.ID is a safe option when you want to try scanning a picture for free and when you need a larger number of accurate results.
It provided 75 accurate results within two minutes, though I had to wait in a short queue first.

It’s efficient and precise, but if you want to access the sources behind those results, you’ll need to buy credits with cryptocurrency. Pricing depends on how many searches you want and for how long:
- $19 gets you 50 searches over 14 days.
- $47 gives you 133 searches for 2 months.
- $197 gets you 666 searches for 6 months.
- $597 unlocks 3,333 searches for a full year.
Paying for a subscription means that you get full access to sources and priority when scanning. So, it’s solid for finding accurate matches, but expect to pay if you want to dig deeper.
Free or paid alternatives: Which is better?
As a free service, ImgOps is far from perfect, albeit it is very useful in uncovering superficial info about an image’s source and subjects.
Emphasis on the *superficial*, however, because your results with not only ImgOps but also other free reverse image search tools will be inconsistent and indefinite.
Free tools are good for…celebrity look-ups and people whose photos appear on public platforms (e.g., Facebook).
Paid tools are good for…more in-depth research, including dating accounts, criminal records, and sources you would otherwise not be able to find.
All that’s left for you to do is identify what your goal is and pick the ImgOps alternative accordingly!
